Are you a passionate Chemistry educator who inspires curiosity and academic excellence? We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Science – Chemistry Teacher to join our dedicated teaching team.

This exciting opportunity includes teaching two VCE Chemistry classes and Years 8–10 General Science, while playing an active role in the pastoral care and co-curricular life of the school.

About The Role

The successful applicant will be an outstanding classroom teacher with a passion for Science and Chemistry and a deep understanding of contemporary educational research and pedagogy. They will bring energy, dedication, and innovation to the role, building a strong learning culture where students are challenged, supported, and inspired.

We Are Looking For a Teacher Who

  • Has a proven record of success in teaching VCE Chemistry, with a strong ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to student wellbeing, academic excellence, and the development of confident, lifelong learners.
  • Can foster in girls a deep love of science and a culture of high achievement.
  • Will actively contribute to the pastoral care of students and co-curricular programs, supporting our mission to educate the whole student.

Key Selection Criteria:
  • A relevant undergraduate qualification in Chemistry and a teaching method in Chemistry.
  • Experience in and a demonstrated passion for teaching VCE Chemistry.
  • A proven track record of delivering excellent outcomes in VCE.
  • The ability to build positive, productive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • An understanding of the Child Safe Standards and a commitment to providing a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Additional Requirements:
  • Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.
  • Current Level 2 First Aid and CPR Certificate, with a commitment to maintaining certification.
  • Current Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management qualifications.
  • Willingness to undergo a National Criminal History Record Check upon appointment.
