Overview

Join to apply for the Assistant Educator (Diploma) role at Uniting Vic.Tas.

Location: Kaniva, West Wimmera region. This is a permanent part-time opportunity to join our Early Learning team and help ensure a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment for children in small group sizes in our long day care service.

What you will do
  • Assist Room Leaders and other qualified educators to provide social and educational activities that build a child's sense of belonging, resilience, kindness, and teamwork.
  • Contribute to delivering high-quality early learning experiences in line with educational frameworks.
What we offer
  • Part-time work: 20 hours per week, Tuesday to Friday (5 hours per day).
  • Base hourly rate + superannuation, 17.5% leave loading, and the ability to increase take-home pay by accessing up to $15,900 in salary packaging benefits (e.g., rent, mortgage repayments, groceries, bills, clothing, streaming services).
  • Option to increase annual leave entitlements through our purchase leave program.
  • 60% discount on the childcare subsidy gap fee when using a Uniting Early Learning service and 10 weeks of paid parental leave.

About you
  • You are a motivated Educator with a passion for the work you do, able to work well within a team with an energetic and positive approach.
  • Holding a Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care (or equivalent), with sound knowledge of early learning quality and educational frameworks.
