Estimator Supervisor

The Opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced, reliable and motivated Estimator/Supervisor with a proven track record and ability to supervise telecommunication projects in a construction environment. Servicing the NSW South Coast, we seek an individual who can scope and prepare quote submissions ready for approval and eventually supervise the winning quote as required. This position will work from home with periodic visits to our Sydney depot and use of a company-supplied motor vehicle to visit sites along the NSW South Coast and ACT.

Description:

The Role:

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for site supervision, scoping and estimating where required, coordinating site construction activities, supervising sub-contractors to successfully complete assigned work safely, on schedule, within budget, and as per contractual requirements.

In this role you will:

• Interpret technical drawings to scope, quantify, and price projects accurately — identifying risks and opportunities to deliver competitive, compliant quote/tender submissions.
• Supervise sites spanning from Wollongong to the VIC border and across to Canberra, ensuring compliance, preventing rework, and maintaining high standards of delivery.
• Maintain complete oversight of current and upcoming work, including scope, location, resource allocation, and availability of materials, plant, equipment, and tools — ensuring seamless execution.
• Understand and act on the critical importance of deadlines. Attend sites as needed, assess challenges, and implement practical solutions to keep projects on track.
• Establish a structured daily routine, maintain detailed project diaries, and ensure all documentation meets evidentiary standards.
• Accurately scope and quantify projects from drawings and specs, submitting quotes aligned with estimating procedures.
  
  

Skills and Experiences:

You:

To be considered for this opportunity, you will require:

• Considerable experience working in a telecommunication, asset relocation, construction or project environment
• Demonstrated experience working across Telstra and Optus networks (preferred)
• Experience in the frontline supervision of Contractors and staff
• Experience estimating/scoping (Preferred)
• Strong coordination and communication skills
• Proactiveness and initiative
• Strong safety culture
• Relevant Industry Accreditations and general construction induction (White Card)
