Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Location: Sydney, NSW

Earlyhood Executive has been exclusively retained to recruit a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a prestigious independent education group.

We are now seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive leadership team and play a pivotal role in shaping our financial strategy as we continue to grow.

The Role:

As CFO, you will lead the financial operations of the group, ensuring financial health, transparency, and sustainability. You'll work closely with the CEO, Board, and key stakeholders to provide strategic financial guidance while overseeing budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organisational goals
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
  • Oversee financial reporting, compliance, and regulatory obligations
  • Manage risk, cash flow, and investment strategies
  • Drive financial performance improvement and operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with school heads and functional leaders to support decision-making
  • Provide regular financial insights to the Board and Executive Team
About You:
  • CA/CPA qualified with a strong finance background
  • Proven experience as CFO or senior financial leader, in the education sector is essential.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and excellent leadership skills
  • Strong commercial acumen, analytical capabilities, and ethical judgment
  • Comfortable navigating complexity and managing multiple stakeholders
  • Passionate about education and values-driven leadership
