About the Role

Tax accountant providing broad taxation compliance and advisory services for the Tattarang group. The role will include a mix of compliance, advisory and deal support services. This opportunity is an 18 Month Fixed Term Parental Leave cover.

What you will do

  • Support the Tax Manager with the preparation / review of tax compliance obligations for the Tattarang group (income tax, FBT, BAS).
  • Undertake ad-hoc tax technical research and provide tax advice to the Tattarang Group.
  • Prepare tax effect accounting calculations.
  • Assist with preparation of tax technical papers.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and teams for tax compliance processes.
  • Liaise with external tax advisors as required.
  • Assist with the collation and preparation of information for revenue authority reviews.

About you

  • Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or Taxation and a professional qualification such as CA/CPA.
  • 5 or more years of tax experience, preferably within a Big 4 tax practice or mid-tier tax practice and some level of in-house experience is preferable.
  • Preparation / review of income tax returns, FBT returns and BAS.
  • Preparation of technical tax advice.
  • Knowledge of best-practice processes and systems.
  • Exposure to large organisational structures and needs.
  • Experience across a wide range of industries including property, resources, and agriculture.
  • You're a strong communicator and can get your message across clearly to any group.
  • You're a team player and have a positive attitude.
