Milestone IT is seeking a highly motivated and experienced EMR Application Analyst to join a great team for a client. This role is crucial in optimizing our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system to improve patient care and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will understand healthcare metrics, reporting, and order processes within an EMR environment.

About the Role:

As an EMR Application Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  1. Analyzing, configuring, and supporting our EMR system, focusing on reporting and order management functionalities.
  2. Developing and maintaining reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and financial performance.
  3. Collaborating with clinicians, administrators, and other stakeholders to understand their reporting and workflow needs.
  4. Troubleshooting and resolving EMR application issues related to reporting, order entry, and other clinical workflows.
  5. Participating in system upgrades, testing, and implementation projects.
  6. Providing training and support to end-users on EMR functionalities.
  7. Ensuring data integrity and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
  8. Optimizing order sets, clinical pathways, and other order-related tools within the EMR.
  9. Working with vendors to resolve application issues and implement system enhancements.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in healthcare informatics, information systems, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience as an EMR Application Analyst or similar role within a healthcare setting.
  3. Proven experience with EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech). Specify if experience with a particular EMR is required.
  4. Strong understanding of healthcare metrics, reporting methodologies, and data analysis.
  5. Expertise in developing and generating reports using various reporting tools (e.g., Crystal Reports, SQL).
  6. Deep understanding of healthcare order processes, including medication orders, lab orders, and other clinical orders.
  7. Familiarity with clinical workflows and terminology.
  8. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
