Walgett Shire Council is seeking an experienced Projects Manager to oversee the delivery of multiple capital and non-capital projects while supporting the coordination of asset management planning across the organisation.
Responsibilities- Lead multiple civil and infrastructure projects
- Play a key role in developing and implementing Council's Asset Management Plans
- Manage projects such as major road upgrades and water infrastructure
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new Asset Management Plans, ensuring long-term planning is robust, sustainable, and aligned with community needs
Living in either Walgett or Lightning Ridge, this permanent role provides the opportunity to deliver projects that make a real difference to local communities in a rural setting.
About You- Skilled project manager with proven experience delivering multiple projects simultaneously, ideally in a local government or civil infrastructure environment
- Strong knowledge of project and asset management principles, with the ability to coordinate frameworks, systems, and reporting processes across a diverse organisation
- Qualifications in project management, engineering, asset management, or a related discipline, supported by excellent stakeholder management skills
- Ability to deliver outcomes in complex, resource-limited environments
- Alignment with values: Respect, Integrity, Ethical Conduct, Courage, Honesty, Accountability, and Responsibility
- A highly competitive salary of $1,919 - $2,593 per week plus superannuation
- An ongoing, permanent position in a rural Council with a broad and rewarding scope of work
