About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Haulage Manager to take charge of our heavy haulage operations and lead the division into its next phase of growth. This role is about ownership, optimisation, and outcomes — perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, no-nonsense environment where "Can. Do. Done." is the standard.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll:

Oversee day-to-day heavy haulage operations and project delivery

Manage and maintain a fleet of prime movers with various combinations

Ensure compliance with NHVR, fatigue management, Chain of Responsibility, and auditing requirements

Lead and support a team of haulage operators and maintenance personnel

Develop and track KPIs, schedules, rosters and budgets

Build strong client relationships and ensure contract performance

Drive safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement

Assist in tendering and business development opportunities

This is primarily an office-based leadership role with a strong focus on IT systems, fleet management, and operational strategy.

About You

You'll be a confident leader who's straight up in communication, understands the big picture, and gets the job done. Ideally you have:

5+ years in heavy haulage management (mining or industrial preferred)

Fleet control experience, including multi-trailer vehicles in regional/remote settings

Proven leadership and people management skills

Strong team collaboration mindset to maximise RAPTOR's vertically integrated functions (Haulage, Plant Hire & Mechanical)

Business acumen for budget tracking and performance forecasting

Knowledge of NHVR, fatigue laws, and haulage compliance

Confidence with dispatch/fleet systems (MT Data, Guardian, etc.)

Certificate IV or higher in Transport & Logistics (desirable)

Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)

Ability to travel as required for site visits and setups
