About the job
In this newly created role, you will manage architecture guidance and oversee the design of solutions that strengthen SA Water's technology environment. Working closely with our Enterprise Architecture team and the Senior Manager Cyber Security and Resilience, you will be immersed in our cyber security program as a key stakeholder, helping to define secure practices and contributing to the delivery of major projects and programs. This is an opportunity to influence critical infrastructure decisions, uplift cyber maturity, and make a real impact in an essential services organisation.
About the Person
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Cyber Security or Domain Architect with a strong track record of shaping and governing secure technology solutions across large, complex enterprises. They will bring 5 plus years' experience supported by relevant tertiary qualifications and will be confident in their ability to lead domain strategies, maintain architecture artefacts, and provide credible solution guidance. With strong technical knowledge spanning network security, secure software development lifecycle, cloud security, and resilience practices, they will combine a solid grounding in cyber security principles with an ability to work across both IT and OT environments. They will also demonstrate excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with the capability to build strong relationships, positively influence decisions, and act as a trusted advisor to both technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities
- Manage and govern strategic architecture guidance for the Cyber and Resilience domain.
- Develop and maintain architecture artefacts, reference architectures, and solution patterns.
- Guide solution architecture design and ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
- Contribute to portfolio planning, program delivery, and governance processes.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, providing credible, expert advice.
- Lead innovation by monitoring trends, disruptive forces, and emerging technologies.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to uplift cyber maturity and resilience.
Your success in this role will come from
- Experience leading technology/domain strategy and architecting technology/domain services, including maintaining diagrams, documents and/or models and leading options analysis and technology selection.
- Experience on large, complex programs within large end-user organisations or those with complex technology architectures or infrastructure.
- Experience in developing and presenting strategic domain/technology guidance to a variety of business and technical stakeholders.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in information technology, business or computer science and/or equivalent knowledge gained through a similar role.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills, including the ability to negotiate outcomes and positively influence business relationships.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
