The Opportunity

An opportunity has arisen to join our home care team as a Team Leader in the North Coast Region. The role involves leading and managing Care Workers in Home Care service delivery, supporting recruitment, driving team retention, and ensuring team support and supervision.

The Role

Reporting to the Home Care Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing leadership and acting as a positive role model.
  • Ensuring compliance with UPA's policies, guidelines, and code of conduct.
  • Maintaining a trained, qualified, and skilled workforce.
  • Facilitating meetings, education, and training.
  • Monitoring staff leave to meet service delivery needs.
  • Maintaining the quality plan, attending audits, and supporting accreditation and quality programs.
  • Recruitment, selection, orientation, and mentoring of staff.
  • Ensuring a safe environment through safety audits and risk assessments.

About You

  • Minimum Certificate-III in community services or relevant qualifications.
  • Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain.
  • Ability to lead and work as part of a team.
  • Current, unrestricted Drivers License.
  • Understanding of Aged Care legislation and Quality Standards.
  • Planning, influence, and negotiation skills.
