The Department of Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our school-based team in the Mackay region.

While full-time availability is preferred, flexible arrangements may be considered for the right candidate. Key responsibilities include supervising other social workers, managing a client caseload at your base school, and delivering professional development opportunities. The base school location will be confirmed following the appointment of the successful applicant.

About The Role

Being part of the Student Wellbeing program we aim to ensure every Queensland primary and secondary state school student has access to a wellbeing professional at school.

The focus of the role is to provide support for students with mild to moderate mental health concerns.

Wellbeing professionals employed through the Student Wellbeing program work as part of schools' established student support teams to enhance the wellbeing and mental health support available to students.
