The City of Newcastle (CN) has two exciting career opportunities for a Trainee Business Services
There are 2-year fixed-term contract opportunities available within our Planning & Environment (P&E) team. You will be part of the business support, process improvement and customer excellence team and will form an integral part of providing a customer-centric approach to our community.
You will work closely with highly experienced and qualified people within the P&E team, where you will be part of a professional, dedicated, and passionate team that supports professional development opportunities. You will gain a broad range of skills and capabilities, including general administration duties, responding to enquiry phone calls, processing applications, drafting correspondence, minute taking, general research and booking of events and venues.

What's next?
If you are successful in progressing to the next stage of our recruitment process, you will be required to attend 1 x group assessment centre for a 3-hour period on Wednesday 10th September. Anticipated commencement date of 29th September 2025.

Remuneration: $37,856.48 - $75,712.71 + 17.5% annual leave loading yearly payment + 12% Superannuation per annum for a 35-hour week
