Pricing Economist

Summary

You will be accountable for the delivery of insightful reporting and analysis, with an objective of driving value and supporting the decision-making process to deliver optimal pricing and revenue outcomes for the organisation. Your expertise will guide the implementation of innovative pricing strategies and ensure our models are robust, defensible, and future-focused.

The Role & The Team

As a Pricing Economist reporting to the Revenue and Pricing Manager you will provide pricing expertise with the long-term view always front of mind as you deliver on this critical pricing agreement project.

Your Charter Is To

• Provide core economic pricing and revenue analysis to assist in the development of regulatory pricing strategies, models and reporting
• Assist in the implementation of new pricing strategies and have a detailed approach to the analysis of revenue and pricing
• Research and analyse the data required to make informed decisions about the pursuit of pricing opportunities such as assessing the pricing structure to critically analyse sound alternatives
• Collaborate and communicate the value of various regulatory pricing strategies and models to a range of internal stakeholders

Communication is key in this role, as you truly partner and work closely with senior leaders across Finance and the broader business, including the Revenue & Pricing Manager, Heads of Finance, and Executive stakeholders.

The PersonThe Successful Candidate Will Have

• A tertiary qualification in economics, finance, or related discipline.
• Ideally, 8+ years in pricing or regulatory economics roles, with a strategic mindset and collaborative approach.
• Proven experience in economic and financial analysis, ideally within regulatory pricing.
• Strong modelling, forecasting, and analytical skills.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
