Responsibilities and Expectations

1. Design, implement, and enhance deployment automation based on Chef, including writing chef recipes/cookbooks and designing an overall Chef-based release and deployment process.
2. Work on CI/CD pipelines using tools like Git/BitBucket, Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory, and Chef to streamline code deployment from development to production with high quality and minimal manual effort.
3. Hands-on experience with Bash scripting, Python scripting, and Linux/Unix environments.
4. Support deployments across multiple environments, automating processes wherever possible.
5. Develop and implement a Git-based code management strategy supporting parallel environment deployments, including automation for branch management, code promotion, and version control.
6. Scale systems sustainably through automation and improve system reliability and velocity.
