The Faculty of Science at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) is seeking a Senior Project Officer to support and leverage its strategic research and enterprise goals.
This role will provide project management, reporting, and analytical support, as well as strategic communications and stakeholder engagement in relation to Faculty of Science research contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, strengthen, and maintain working relationships between the Faculty of Science and UNSW divisions.
- Act as a key liaison between internal stakeholders, Research Grants and Contracts Office, and industry stakeholders.
- Manage research databases and information systems, analysing and reporting on research performance and contract progression.
- Identify and implement business improvement activities to streamline Faculty research contract processes.
- Provide expert advice and support to Faculty researchers on financial, logistic, compliance, and safety issues related to research contracts.
The successful candidate will have a relevant degree, subsequent experience, or equivalent competence gained through education, training, and experience. They must also have demonstrated experience in project management, implementing business improvement activities, and extensive knowledge of the Australian higher education sector and research environment.
