Role Responsibilities
  • As the first dedicated Security hire, you will own security initiatives, working independently without a team of seniors.
  • Collaborate with IT Ops, Cloud Engineering, Security, and DevOps teams, taking proactive ownership of security tasks.
  • Enhance security posture through tool selection, implementation, monitoring, compliance, and internal advocacy—covering the full spectrum from SIEM alerts to automation and project collaboration.

Ideal Candidate Profile
  • 3–5 years of hands-on cybersecurity experience, with prior SecOps background essential.
  • Experience as a SysAdmin or similar role, understanding systems and infrastructure from the ground up.
  • Familiarity with modern security tools such as SIEM, EDR, firewalls.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and willing to learn and explore new technologies.
  • Pragmatic, solutions-oriented, and able to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Australian PR or citizen required; sponsorship not available.
