Square is looking for a Customer Success Advocate to join the Customer Success team in Australia. You will support our Sellers (business owners) via phone and email to resolve issues, provide guidance, troubleshoot, and demonstrate how they can get the most out of Square's products to grow their business. You will also share insights and feedback with Product teams to help make Square better for Sellers' success.
In this role, you will build on your customer service experience and develop your career in a leading technology company. You will gain a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by small business owners in Australia, while working with a supportive team to drive long-term success for Square in Australia. This role is based in Melbourne or Sydney with a hybrid in-office/remote arrangement, and may also be remote anywhere on the East coast of Australia. The start date is Monday 17 November 2025.
You Will- Engage with Square Sellers, spending up to 80% of your time managing inbound phone inquiries in a dynamic environment
- Demonstrate genuine curiosity for people and businesses, with a continuous desire to learn and grow
- Use creative problem solving to address seller inquiries, leveraging support from partners, resources, and team
- Identify, document, and take ownership of Seller issues, ensuring problems are resolved effectively
- Analyze trends and patterns in seller issues and provide recommendations to enhance loyalty and experience
- Collaborate with internal teams, stakeholders, and Square sellers with empathy and openness to diverse perspectives
- Be flexible to support sellers of all sizes, including occasional work on public holidays and weekends
- A passion for technology, customer service and problem solving
- Experience in customer support or a background in hospitality, retail, or other customer-facing roles
- Adaptability and comfort navigating ambiguity
- Resilience in the face of rapid change and drive to meet performance expectations
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to personalise solutions for diverse businesses
- Eagerness to receive and implement feedback with a focus on continuous improvement
- A passion for Square and a commitment to helping Sellers succeed
- Language proficiency in English for effective written and verbal communication with Square sellers and global colleagues
- Must be based in Australia, in Melbourne or Sydney, with hybrid in-office/remote arrangements; remote on the East coast is also possible
- Full Australian working rights required; sponsorship is not available for this position
