Job Title: Mechanical Fitter

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team at Manpower Australia.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on machinery and equipment.
  2. Installations and Upgrades: Conduct installations and upgrades to ensure machinery operates at optimal efficiency.
  3. Mechanical System Maintenance: Maintain and repair mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems as required.
  4. Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues with a focus on minimizing downtime.
  5. Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety standards and operational procedures.
  6. Planning and Implementation: Assist in the planning and implementation of mechanical maintenance activities.
  7. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
  8. Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance.
About You:
  1. Trade Qualification: Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or equivalent.
  2. Experience: Proven 3 years' experience as a fitter, ideally within manufacturing or heavy industry environments.
  3. Forklift Ticket: Forklift Ticket.
  4. Troubleshooting Skills: Strong mechanical troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
  5. Teamwork: Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  6. Safety and Quality: Commitment to safety and quality standards.
  7. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  8. Machinery Knowledge: Knowledge of industrial machinery and mechanical systems.
