About the role

Are you ready to take your career to new heights? Kinetic IT, a leading provider of cutting-edge IT solutions, is seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to work within one of their most highly regarded accounts, supporting network and security operations.

As a Senior Systems Engineer within this space, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining mission-critical systems that drive our customers' success. Work alongside a team of seven talented professionals, collaborating on complex projects and leveraging the latest technologies to deliver innovative solutions as well as providing BAU capability.

Please note this role is fixed term until June 2025 initially and requires 5 days onsite.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing highly available, scalable, and secure system infrastructures.
  • Managing firewalls.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex system issues, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
  • Mentoring and providing technical guidance to junior team members.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Experience required:

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in systems engineering, infrastructure design, and implementation within the network and security space.
  • Exposure to the above technologies or equivalent.
  • Ability to work across complex environments and support the customer where needed.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
