Senior Information Technology Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager / Program Lead to deliver a major education transformation initiative in the Northern Territory. This program will introduce contemporary education management technologies to improve how data is captured, shared and reported, providing a holistic student-centred view that supports performance, wellbeing and engagement across the NT.
As Senior Project Manager you will lead high performing teams, manage complex business solution implementations and ensure the successful delivery of projects that are high value, high risk and high impact. You will oversee the full project lifecycle including requirements, design, procurement, configuration, delivery, implementation and transition to support.

Key Responsibilities- Lead large multi disciplinary teams in delivering complex ICT business solutions
- Manage project governance, planning, risk and issue resolution to ensure delivery on time within scope and within budget
- Drive organisational change by integrating new ICT capabilities with business transformation objectives
- Engage and negotiate with diverse stakeholders using strong interpersonal communication and human centred design skills
- Oversee procurement, vendor engagement and technical integration activities
- Over 10 years in senior project management roles within large complex digital transformation programs
- Proven leadership in governance, strategy, planning and delivery of enterprise level solutions
- Strong change management capability with end to end ICT solution delivery experience
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills across all levels
- Technical knowledge in system analysis, design and integration
- Experience with Microsoft toolsets including SharePoint and Jira
- Previous government project experience, ideally in education or public services
- Resilient, proactive and calm under pressure
- Collaborative, inclusive and respectful in approach
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking capability
- Committed to transparency, accountability and ethical practice
- Location: Darwin (remote work is not available)
- Clearances: National Police Clearance, Working with Children Ochre Card, PF166 may be required
- Engagement: 12 month contract, full time
