About The Role

As a valued member of our Catering Team, you will play an important role in delivering exceptional food service by preparing patient meal trays, taking meal orders, and assisting with food preparation tasks. Successful candidates must have the ability to work shifts across a 14-day rotating roster which may involve weekdays, weekend, and public holidays, working a variety of shifts starting from 0530, 0630, and 1400, 1430.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patient meal trays and assist with food preparation tasks
  • Take meal orders and ensure service with a focus on patient care
  • Set up and plate dishes; maintain department cleanliness
  • Undertake cleaning duties throughout the department and at ward level in line with HACCP/Food Safety regulations, infection control, and hospital standards
  • Dishwashing and general upkeep of the dining and kitchen areas
Skills and Experience
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Responsive and sensitive to customer information, needs and wants
  • Ability to set up and plate meals
  • Attention to detail and good work ethic
  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritise workload
  • Reliability, motivation and a friendly nature
  • Allergy control awareness
  • Experience within the healthcare industry desirable
Remuneration

Base hourly rate of $28.71 + superannuation, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

Requirements
  • A National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
