Claims Specialist

To support our growth, we are looking for a dynamic and passionate Claims Specialist to join our growing organisation on a permanent full-time basis.

About the location

The Claims Specialist will be based in Sydney. We support a healthy work-life balance and currently have a hybrid working model in place with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

Reporting to the Claims Manager, your key responsibilities include:

• Review and determine coverage under the insured's policy.
• Establish and negotiate liability.
• Effectively and confidently manage the settlements with clients.
• Ensure the highest standard of claim file management.
• Deliver the best client outcomes using appropriate claims guidelines.
• Produce detailed and high-quality reports.
• Identify continuous areas of improvement.
• Manage performance of external suppliers to deliver service to clients.

Qualifications needed:

• Knowledge of the rural industry (desirable).
• Minimum 3+ years claims experience within General Insurance, specifically motor and property claims.
• Proven knowledge of general insurance on tier-2 level.
• The ability to use initiative and streamline processes and procedures.
• Experience with administrative processes and systems.
• Flexibility and a willingness to work on tasks outside their remit.
