Are you an experienced Service Technician looking for an exciting opportunity in the food processing industry including interstate travel?
Looking to join an Australian company specialising in servicing the Food Industry and play a key role in delivering expert technical support and maintenance services to their valued clients across Australia.
As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing food processing equipment, including cabinet radiation apparatus (X-Ray Equipment) used for food inspection. This role involves frequent travel to client sites including regional and interstate, making it an exciting and dynamic position for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, travel, and customer interaction.
Applicants can live in Queensland, New South Wales, or Victoria close to any major city airport.
Duties:- Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance and repairs on food processing equipment, with a focus on X-Ray inspection machinery.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, providing effective solutions.
- Maintain detailed service records and report on equipment performance.
- Build strong relationships with clients by understanding their needs and delivering top-tier customer service.
- Work collaboratively with the team to enhance service quality and identify growth opportunities.
- Ensure strict compliance with all relevant safety standards and regulations.
- Extensive experience as a Service Technician or Maintenance Technician in the food processing industry (experience with meat or food equipment is highly desirable).
- Relevant trade qualifications or certifications (mechanical trade or A-Class electrical license preferred).
- Strong technical skills in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining food processing machinery.
- X-Ray License to operate a cabinet radiation apparatus is an advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Sound understanding of industry safety standards and regulations.
