Role Description
This is a part-time hybrid role for a Junior Coordinator of Software Specification and Testing located in the Greater Newcastle Area. The role is freelance.
Established process will be followed to create software and component specifications and test cases and to assess the quality of work delivered by others.
The role involves tasks such as
- listening to requirements
- asking questions and understanding requirements
- writing specifications
- writing test procedures to confirm that software delivered by others meets the requirements
- test execution and records
- quality assurance
- creative thought in any mvp topic
From experience gained in this role one might move toward a career in any of the following;
- Software Developer
- Solution Architect
- Test Analyst
- Business Analyst
- Product Manager
Skills and Knowledge (or Qualifications)
- Clear functional specification writing
- Clear test case writing
- Python, Docker, Databases & APIs
Understanding of the following would also be beneficial
- Test Coordination, Test Execution, and Test Management skills
- Quality Assurance and Test Strategy skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with software testing tools and methodologies
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle
- Studying or awarded Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
