The Maxwell Underground Mine, owned by Malabar Resources Ltd, has commenced operations at their Hunter Valley site, with a projected production of up to 8 million tonnes of coal per annum. The underground mine targets high-quality, largely metallurgical coal, with a long mine life.

About The Role
We are seeking a Training Coordinator to develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Order 34-compliant training program. Reporting to the Production Manager, this role involves designing training processes, supporting onboarding, and implementing effective training systems.
What You Will Be Doing
- Establish and oversee the training competency management scheme.
- Develop industry-standard training packages.
- Deliver training and assessments across classroom, field, and online settings.
- Mentor and guide on training, competency, and authorization processes.
- Coach workplace trainers and assessors.
- Coordinate training needs analysis for all employees.
- Analyze training data to ensure compliance and prepare performance reports.
- Support the development of a safety culture aligned with Maxwell Underground's values.
Skills And Experience
Ideal candidates will have:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE 40116 or newer).
- Experience in underground mining training roles is advantageous.
- Experience with Workforce Management Systems, especially role and competency management.
- Skill in developing training and assessment materials.
- Understanding of NSW training and competency regulations.
- Contractor management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong report writing, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Excellent time management and interpersonal skills.
