Overview

Occupational Therapists - Townsville/Mackay/Proserpine

NWRH is seeking Occupational Therapists to join our team on a Full-time basis. Positions can be based in Townsville (office co-located with our wider multi-disciplinary team) or Proserpine/Mackay where we have established outreach services. Applications from all experience levels, from fresh graduates to seasoned experts, are encouraged.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting participants inclusion in the communities and activities they choose
  • Assessing clients' emotional, cognitive, developmental and physical capabilities using clinical observations and standardised assessments
  • Planning and directing programs through the use of vocational, recreational, social and educational activities on an individual and group basis
  • Assessing clients' functional potential in home, leisure, work and school environments; recommending environmental adaptations to maximise performance
  • Providing advice to family members, carers, employers and teachers about adapting environments
  • Delivering goal-directed early childhood supports
  • Assisting with community education activities to improve health outcomes through awareness of healthy lifestyles, diseases and disabilities
Qualifications and requirements
  • Registered, or eligible to obtain registration with AHPRA
  • A relevant Occupational Therapy qualification
  • A current, unrestricted C-class Australian Driver's Licence
  • The right to live and work in Australia

  • Attractive salary of $78,483 to $96,190 (commensurate with experience), plus super and up to $15,900 salary sacrificing
