Assistant Venue Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Venue Manager to join our team at King Street Wharf.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the management of daily venue operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
  • Co-ordinate events, functions, and meetings, including set-ups, break downs, and logistical arrangements.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to queries and resolving issues in a professional manner.
  • Manage cash handling, credit card transactions, and reconciliation of till sales.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation within the venue.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase revenue and attendance.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the tourism and/or hospitality industries.
  • High-level financial management skills, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • A current RSA Certificate for this State and a valid Driver's Licence.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and exceeding expectations.
