As part of SALHN, South Australia's largest employer, you'll enjoy flexible working arrangements, comprehensive professional development, and the opportunity to deliver evidence-based care within a supportive multidisciplinary team. This rewarding role combines clinical expertise with compassionate care, helping adolescents reclaim their health whilst building a meaningful career in our state-of-the-art facilities.

The Service provides Family Based Treatment (FBT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Enhanced for Adolescents (CBTEA) as the primary evidence-based treatment modalities. Full training and ongoing clinical supervision are provided. If you're a dedicated and empathetic professional with a passion for adolescent mental health, we invite you to join us in making a meaningful impact on the well-being of our young patients.

About the role:

Reporting to the Team Manager SEDS, some of your duties will include:

  • Undertaking a clinical caseload and providing individual support to adolescent clients with a diagnosed eating disorder and their family/supports
  • Providing consultation and assistance to identified teams and organisations to meet the mental health care needs of the clients
  • Undertaking assessments and planning recovery-focused services for individual clients and their family/supports, including bio-psycho-social assessment and mental state examination, including risk assessment of all clients referred to the service
  • Delivering non-discriminatory treatment and support that is sensitive to the social and cultural values of the client, their family, carers, and the community

About you:

  • Must be highly motivated and able to engage with clients who have extremely high service needs
  • Competent in applying cognitive, behavioural, and other evidence-based treatment methodologies
  • Experience working with a range of government and non-government agencies
  • Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years, full-time equivalent, post-registration experience
  • Experience working with clients diagnosed with an eating disorder and related conditions
  • Experience working with children or adolescents and their family/supports

To be considered for the RN2C (Clinical Nurse) level, you must have at least three years, full-time equivalent, post-registration experience, including leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses.

This is a single vacancy, with multiple possible appointment classifications. The successful applicants will be appointed in the position appropriate to their skills, qualifications, and experience.

Please note that this position is multi-classed as either AHP2 or RN/M2C; classification will be determined by qualifications and experience.
