We're seeking a full-time Optometrist with 2+ years' experience, passionate about ocular health (especially diabetes care) and available to work 1 weekend per week. The store features 2 dedicated test rooms and 30-minute clinics, giving you the time and resources to provide truly comprehensive eye care. Unlike other high-volume settings, our model prioritises quality and patient outcomes. We have a strong focus on ocular health—particularly in managing diabetes-related eye disease—while also encouraging a business-minded approach to patient care and practice growth.

Role description: This is a full-time Optometrist role located in Figtree, NSW. We are seeking a motivated optometrist with at least 2 years of experience who is passionate about delivering high-quality clinical care and building strong patient relationships. Responsibilities:

  • Performing comprehensive eye examinations
  • Diagnosing and managing ocular disease, with a focus on diabetes and chronic conditions
  • Prescribing contact lenses
  • Using the latest diagnostic imaging and technology to support early detection and management
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient outcomes
  • Contributing to practice growth through a business-minded approach to patient care

This role requires availability for 1 weekend day per week. Competitive salary package (commensurate with experience).

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years' clinical experience as an Optometrist
  • Proficient in performing comprehensive eye exams and managing ocular disease
  • Skilled in prescribing contact lenses
  • Strong interest in ocular health, particularly diabetes management
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills
  • Current registration with AHPRA
