Overview

Infrastructure & Cloud Manager at V/Line. This is a business-critical role with an ASAP commencement and a permanent opportunity in a hybrid working environment.

V/Line is growing and delivering more services, trains, fares, and major projects. You will lead a team responsible for 24/7 oversight of ICT operations, ensuring the stability, availability, and security of networks, databases, applications, and infrastructure.

About the Role

You'll lead a team of dedicated cloud engineers and oversee the AWS and Azure environments. With your leadership and technical expertise, you will shape the cloud and infrastructure roadmap, strengthen resilience, and ensure alignment with the V/Line BIS strategy, while providing technical leadership and coaching to the Cloud Operations team.

You'll engage with internal and external stakeholders to enhance data quality and support business growth, while ensuring privacy and security compliance.

About You

Our ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Must have 3+ years' experience leading a Cloud Operations team, fostering collaboration and cohesion.
  • Must have 5+ years of technical experience in Cloud Technology, working in both AWS and Azure environments.
  • Advanced stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to mentor team members calmly and collaboratively.
  • Established ability to resolve conflicts and de-escalate high-pressure situations.
  • Tertiary or equivalent qualifications in computer science, IT, or related fields (highly desirable).
  • AWS, Azure, O365 or equivalent training & certifications (highly desirable).
