About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Developer to join our team and drive innovation in our deployment pipelines, cloud environments and system automation. This fully onsite role is your chance to make a real impact, ensuring our infrastructure is secure, efficient and built for growth.

As a DevOps Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure and ensuring system reliability and scalability. You will work closely with development, IT operations and security experts to enhance deployment efficiency, monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.

What You'll Be Doing

  • CI/CD Excellence: Develop and maintain automated build, test, and deployment pipelines for smooth software delivery.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Cloud & On-Premises Mastery: Deploy, monitor and manage cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises infrastructure.
  • Security & Reliability: Implement security best practices in DevOps workflows, including access controls, encryption and vulnerability scanning.
  • Automation Guru: Automate system administration tasks using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Containerisation & Orchestration: Work with containerisation technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes to optimise application deployment.
  • Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, deployment and application performance issues.
  • Collaboration & Documentation: Partner with development teams to enhance deployment strategies and maintain clear documentation of DevOps processes.

What You'll Bring to the Table

Technical Expertise

  • Solid hands-on experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Software Development.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps).
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
  • Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
  • Understanding of networking, firewalls and security best practices.
  • Familiarity with Git, version control and branching strategies.

Nice to Have (But Not a Dealbreaker)

  • Experience with service mesh architectures (Istio, Linkerd).
  • Familiarity with serverless computing (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).
  • Knowledge of database management and optimisation.
  • Experience with compliance and security frameworks (SOC2, ISO 27001, NIST).

  • Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
