Are you a project engineer with 3+ years' experience and a strong technical background in major projects and shutdown works in materials handling and minerals processing?

Due to recent project successes and a growing portfolio, PHE is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer on a 2:1 FIFO roster to assist with project package delivery on a mining project.

The Role

With a significant pipeline of upcoming work, PHE offers an opportunity for an experienced Project Electrical Engineer to join us on a FIFO basis. Flights are available from most major hubs.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Being the key technical resource, familiar with drawings, specifications, standards, and technical requirements
  • Developing construction work packs, including technical and quality document review
  • Participating in detailed work method statements, identifying risks and opportunities
  • Implementing initiatives to improve costs on work packages
  • Procurement coordination for contractor-supplied items
  • Providing technical input into project schedules and stakeholder engagement
  • Estimating variation works and additional scopes
  • Contributing to project reporting and claims
  • Managing changes during project phases to maintain safety and objectives
  • Participating in risk assessments and managing execution risks
  • Managing red-line drawings and MDR documentation
  • Configuring and managing Completion Management Software (PIMS)

About You

The ideal candidate is a qualified Electrical Engineer with:

  • Over 3 years' post-graduate experience in major project delivery, including greenfield, brownfield, and shutdown works in materials handling and minerals processing
  • Self-motivated with effective time management and prioritization skills
  • Proactive problem-solving and solution implementation skills
  • Resourcefulness, positive attitude, and strong work ethic
  • Understanding of engineering deliverables, including P&IDs, electrical layouts, and shop drawings
  • Ability to navigate 3D models and related files
  • Experience with PIMS setup and management or similar systems
  • Team-oriented with strong relationship-building skills at all levels
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail
  • A strong safety culture
