Pacific Pines State High School is inviting applications for the position of Head of Department - Student Engagement, overseeing the Junior (Years 7 & 8), Senior Preparatory (Years 9 & 10), and Senior (Years 11 & 12) phases. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as the Head of Department for Student Engagement & Success in the Junior phase, specifically Year 8. About The Role
As the Head of Department, Student Engagement, you will focus on initiatives designed to support and enhance the educational outcomes for students, incorporating the vision of Early Childhood and State Schools Division into school planning. You will play a key role in developing the quality of teaching and learning, ensuring that best practices are implemented across the department. Additionally, you will nurture positive relationships between students, teachers, and the broader community, fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment that promotes student engagement and success.

Your Responsibilities
As the Head of Department - Student Engagement, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Provide leadership and guidance for the implementation of innovative measures aimed at improving student learning outcomes and attendance in schools where a significant percentage of students may have a disadvantaged background, ensuring quality learning outcomes for all students.
• Where requested, prepare all data returns for senior management.
• Monitor students' individual performance and behaviour and develop and implement intervention strategies where necessary.
