Adelaide, South Australia Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia Full time
About the Royal Flying Doctor Service South Australia / Northern Territory

We provide aeromedical and primary health care services to people in remote, rural and regional locations across South Australia and the Northern Territory. Our focus is on growing as an innovative, responsive and better-connected health service provider for all Australians.

Watch stories about our people, patients and the communities we serve.

About this Opportunity

This role requires a sharp, proactive, and strategic thinker to join us as Enterprise Risk Advisor.

You will work with our Executive Leadership Team and risk owners, providing expert advice that empowers them to adopt cutting-edge risk management practices. You will develop and embed frameworks that strengthen our organisation's risk culture, resilience, and assurance processes.

Your tasks include monitoring/reporting on risk & compliance, helping our teams identify and navigate risks confidently and effectively through the RFDS Risk Framework. Your influence will ensure that risk management principles are not just understood but lived throughout the organisation.

The focus will be on whole-of-organisation, enterprise-level risks, and the framework for everyone in the organisation to apply. Collaborating with our aviation, clinical, and WHS teams who manage specialist risks is essential.

What We're Looking For:
  1. Proven experience in a similar enterprise risk role.
  2. A track record of successfully leading organisation-wide improvement initiatives.
  3. Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage at all levels.
  4. A self-starter attitude — you're motivated, organised, and thrive both independently and collaboratively.
  5. Advanced computer proficiency — you're confident with word processing, spreadsheets, and database systems.
  6. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with laser-sharp attention to detail.
  7. Expertise in data collection, management, and analysis to inform decision-making.
  8. Problem-solving prowess, with a knack for analysing complex scenarios.
  9. Previous experience with enterprise risk management software and database systems.
Why Work With Us?
  • Be at the forefront of shaping risk culture in a dynamic & complex organisation.
  • Work closely with leadership and influence strategic decision-making.
  • Make a real impact with your work every day.
  • Join a supportive team that values your insights and innovation.

This role offers challenging, interesting work and opportunities for professional development. We offer generous annual salary packaging options, an Employee Assistance Program, Reward and Recognition Program, and Employee Value Awards.
