We are looking for a dedicated Security Specialist to join our dynamic Digital organisation as we embark on our transformation journey towards building modern capabilities and becoming a service-oriented entity. This role will support service owners in securing their technology solutions, with a focus on architecture, solution design, control design, engineering, and consulting. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Collaborate with Service owners to ensure service architecture has appropriate security considerations and design principles that align with industry best practices and organisational goals.
  2. Ensure new and existing Digital solutions meet security requirements and standards.
  3. Design secure IT solutions that address business needs while mitigating security risks.
  4. Develop, implement, and maintain security controls and policies to protect information assets.
  5. Conduct security assessments and threat modelling for Digital projects and services.
  6. Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle.
  7. Provide security consulting services to project teams and other departments.
  8. Support service owners in understanding and addressing the security implications of new technologies and business initiatives.
  9. Assist service owners in developing and implementing security strategies for their services.
  10. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to continuously improve the Secure by Design framework.
  11. Create and maintain codified security standards and practices.
  12. Collaborate on regular risk assessments and audits to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities.

About you:

You will be collaborative, focused on team success, and passionate about contributing to great outcomes for customers. In addition to this, you will also have:

  1. Proven experience in IT security architecture, solution design, and engineering.
  2. Experience working in highly scalable Cloud and DevSecOps environments, and are versed in modern cybersecurity practices and methodologies.
  3. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  4. Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent.
