We are seeking an experienced Commercial Advisor to join our high-performing team. In this role, you will lead the commercial workstream on behalf of government clients, taking projects from early investment decisions through to delivery, providing strategic commercial and transaction advice that drives value and manages risk.

What you'll do

Provide strategic commercial advice across the full asset/project lifecycle across a number of different contracting model including DBOM/PPP models.

Draft and review commercial principles and risk allocation, and provide input in development of contractual documentation.

Actively support transaction management activities including procurement strategy, bid evaluation and contract negotiations.

Support the development and review contractual financial models to inform decision-making.

Engage with government agencies, industry partners and stakeholders to foster strong, collaborative relationships.

Identify, assess and manage commercial and procurement risks, ensuring compliance with governance frameworks.

What you'll bring

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.

5–10 years' experience in commercial advisory and/or transaction management, ideally in the context of Government procurement in the water sector or major infrastructure projects.

Proven ability to provide high-quality commercial advice to support business cases.

Experience and skills in procurement, tender processes, negotiation and financial modelling, particularly within a government context.

Consulting and/or public sector experience will be highly regarded.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complexity for diverse audiences.

A strategic, solution-focused mindset balanced with a pragmatic, action-oriented mindset.
