We're looking for a Intermediate Tax Accountant who is comfortable preparing tax returns and building strong, trust-based client relationships. If you enjoy making people feel valued while delivering accurate, high-quality work, you'll fit right in with our team.

What You'll Do:

  • Preparation and review of financial statements and tax returns for all types of entities, including SMSF
  • Prepare and advise on BAS, FBT, GST, Payroll Tax, Div. 7A, and statutory reporting requirements
  • Liaise with the ATO and other stakeholders
  • Assist in managing a team of accountants, delegating and reviewing work, and workflow management
  • Monitor job budgets
  • Support the development of team members through mentoring and training
  • Engage in advisory and tax planning work
  • Work closely with diverse clients, providing compliance and value-added services

What We're Looking For:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in public accounting within Australia, focusing on business services
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Interstate applicants are encouraged to apply; relocation assistance may be offered for the right candidate
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulatory requirements
  • Experience with cloud-based software (practice uses XERO XPM)
  • Enjoyment in training and mentoring staff
  • Legal work rights in Australia, including Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
