The Opportunity: We are seeking Registered and Enrolled Nurses to join our team as a Child and Family Nurse at Figtree Private Hospital. The Child and Family Health Nurse (CFHN) provides family-centred, culturally safe, and developmentally appropriate care to families with children (0–2 years) within a residential early parenting unit. This role involves comprehensive assessment, intervention, health promotion, and education to support parents in achieving optimal child health, development, and family functioning. Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, Clinical Nurse, Team and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital and Ramsay Health Care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide family-centred, culturally safe care to families with children aged 0–2 years within a residential early parenting unit.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessment, planning, coordination, and evaluation of care delivery needs.
  • Deliver health promotion and education to support parents and child health and development.
  • Collaborate with the Nurse Unit Manager, Department Manager, Clinical Nurse, and team to maintain high-quality patient care.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Relevant registration with AHPRA as a Registered or Enrolled Nurse.
  • Minimum two (2) years in a hospital-based postgraduate role.
  • Previous experience in Child and Family Nursing or working toward it.
  • Ability to assess, plan, coordinate, and evaluate care delivery needs.
  • Excellent customer service and time management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Ability to work a flexible rotating roster and collaborate effectively in a team or independently as required.
Remuneration

Base hourly rate ranging from $37.75$53.02 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. ( NSW RN/Midwife grade 1–8 )

Requirements

Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months. Depending on the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
