We are seeking an enthusiastic Kindergarten Teacher to join the Blairholme Early Learning Centre for 2026. In this role, you will nurture and inspire our youngest learners through engaging, creative, and developmentally appropriate teaching practices that support the foundations of learning and foster a lifelong love of discovery.

About the role

  • Part time (0.75FTE), fixed term leave replacement position
  • Commencing Term 1, 2026 (12 months)

Ideal candidate will:

  • Demonstrate a commitment to Lauriston's school values –Engagement in Life, Intellectual Curiosity, Courage, Creativity, and Relationships
  • Hold a teaching qualification, with strong knowledge of early years education and relevant experience within a kindergarten/ELC setting
  • Support foundational learning by creating rich, play-based experiences that nurture early development
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to design and deliver engaging learning experiences that are responsive to the developmental needs and interests of young children.
  • Have a good understanding of the Reggia Emelia philosphy of early learning
  • Demonstrate reliability, strong organisational skills, and a reflective teaching practice
  • Show a commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Build positive, respectful relationships with students, families, and colleagues, contributing to a supportive school community
  • Create a safe, inclusive space where every child feels seen, heard and valued
