The Role

We are currently seeking to appoint a Civil Designer to join our Melbourne Team.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Civil Designer will contribute to delivering innovative solutions in all facets of tailings storage facilities and other earth structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design embankments and other earth structures, civil structures, and roads using 3D Civil design software.
  • Coordinate and plan the work of design and documentation resources.
  • Undertake material take-off and develop schedules of Quantities.
  • Produce design drawings and documentation in accordance with established company design and drafting standards.
  • Provide support to other members of the group and mentor junior staff as required.

Please note this role is based in our Melbourne Office.

Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a degree-qualified Civil Engineer or related field professional with:

  • 7 to 10 years' relevant experience working on tailings/mine waste related projects locally or internationally.
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake engineering design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
  • Ability to coordinate and plan the work of design and documentation resources.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
