About the position

2026 Traineeship Intake - Environmental Maintenance Crew (EMC) Traineeship

GPC is seeking motivated candidates with an aptitude for manual work within the Operations Department. The program combines paid work and training to gain a nationally recognised qualification, with mentorship from trades and leaders in a positive, safe workplace.

Key Responsibilities
  • A genuine interest and understanding of basic equipment pertaining to Machinery operations
  • Labouring and basic hand tools knowledge
  • Capability to work flexible hours
  • Complete training targets
  • Ability to work across different work groups
About you

We look for individuals who focus on safety, have good written and verbal communication skills, and are motivated to learn and develop new skills while working constructively within a team.

Candidates must meet the specific eligibility criteria
  • Minimum of Year 10 or TAFE equivalent with C grade in English, Math and relevant technical subjects
  • Meet age restrictions for High Risk Work Licences (minimum of 18 years old with a C Class Manual Drivers Licence)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
