Barto Gold is an Australian Gold explorer, developer, and producer operating since 2009, focused on gold exploration and production in Western Australia. The operation includes a 1.8Mtpa processing plant, three active underground mines, two open pits, with new mines starting in 2025 and planned for 2026 as part of the company's 5-year plan, aiming to reach 150,000oz/pa by 2028.

This is an exciting time to join the company as we pave the way for future growth. The role is permanent, on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster, with BIBO from Perth or DIDO options available.

About the role:

Reporting to the Mining Manager, the successful candidate will:

  • Support the Mining Manager in developing and executing planning and budgeting processes.
  • Provide input to the senior leadership team to ensure a strategic LOM plan is created and executed.
  • Evaluate resources and reserves for the operational teams.
  • Communicate areas of risk and monitor preventative actions closely.
  • Implement corrective plans to prevent adverse trends.
  • Initiate contingency plans for high-probability risks.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve operational performance and reduce risks.
  • Communicate proposals clearly and implement them effectively.
  • Assist the mining team as required.
  • Work with the environmental department to ensure timely mining approvals.
About you:
  • 10+ years of Mining Engineering experience.
  • Experience leading a team.
  • Extensive underground planning and scheduling experience.
  • Practical financial skills, including budgets and cost reporting.
  • Understanding regulatory requirements for employment and safety.
  • Proficiency in Deswik mine planning software.
  • Desirable: 1st Class Mine Managers Certificate.
