We have a great opportunity for an experienced, passionate and committed driver to join our Boral Asphalt team in Victoria. This role involves delivering bitumen products in a safe and efficient manner to asphalt plants across Metro Melbourne and road spray teams in regional Victoria. During asphalt spray season you may live and work out of the truck and go home each night during the off-peak season. Your day will largely consist of loading and unloading the truck, working closely with our Spray team in Regional Victoria, and performing minor fault finding and maintenance on the truck if required.

Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy vehicle combination (primarily a B-Double) transporting dangerous goods
  • Promote a positive public image of Boral and interact with internal and external customers in a professional and courteous manner
  • Maintain and report faults for a company truck
  • Deliver to loading sites at Dandenong, Geelong and Laverton plants
  • Comply with Boral OH&S policy and ensure safety and environmental standards are met
What We Are Looking For
  • A dedicated and committed driver with experience transporting Dangerous Goods, ideally bitumen or other DG liquids
  • A strong commitment to safety and the environment with superior customer focus
  • HC or MC drivers' license with a Dangerous Goods license (desirable, not essential)
  • Experience in tanker operation and handling of bituminous products (desirable)
  • Understanding of Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) an advantage
  • Team player with the ability to work well independently
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet operational requirements
