Ideally positioned opposite Robina Public Hospital, Robina Private Hospital is the first and only private hospital to locate within the Robina Health Precinct and within close proximity to the precinct's existing, extensive public services. Robina Private Hospital is a 90 bed private hospital with three specialist mental health and rehabilitation wards along with consultancy, outpatient, mental health and day rehabilitation programs and day surgery services.Sub-specialties include older persons mental health and eating disorders.
The role
We are seeking expressions of interest from experienced Mental Health Nurse Unit Managers, with proven ability to provide high quality nursing leadership and clinical expertise, to apply for the position of Nurse Unit Manager 4 days per week, for a 30 bed general adult and dual diagnosis ward.
The successful applicant will contribute to our positive workplace culture and provide management and clinical leadership to the ward, as well as support the hospital and other clinical departments in sharing the Hospital in Charge role with other Nurse Unit Managers and providing leave cover for other clinical managers, where needed.
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Minimum of 5 years' mental health clinical and management experience within a private setting
Postgraduate studies in mental health or working towards same
Demonstrated leadership and management skills / knowledge
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
Ability to ensure excellence in customer service
Experience working with patients with acute Psychiatric conditions and Alcohol and Other Drugs
Completion of a recognised Graduate Nurse Program, a specialist clinical qualification or ongoing education
