Responsibilities
  • Provide a clinical consultancy service within an assigned area of specialty (Alcohol and Other Drugs).
  • Develop standards of practice, implement changes to clinical practice, educate staff, and initiate research and quality improvement activities.
  • Offer a Consultation Liaison Service across hospital services and external sites within the area of expertise, with a focus on improving patient care and outcomes in the colorectal patient population, including care for patients with ostomies.
  • Provide mentorship and role modelling for nurses and contribute to the advancement of the profession in line with the Fiona Stanley Nursing vision and values.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Senior nursing level with professional accountability to the Mental Health Nurse Director and Area Director of Nursing and Midwifery (or Director of Nursing and Midwifery as applicable).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and influence clinical practice and quality improvement initiatives.
