Job Title: Finance Officer (Part-time)

We are seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our team at the Gold Coast SUNS.

This part-time role will provide assistance with various financial tasks and processes under the guidance of the Finance Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accounts Payable: Process invoices from suppliers, player management fees, payroll-related invoices, and employee reimbursements.
  • Payment Runs: Process weekly and ad hoc payment runs for the organisation.
  • Debtor Invoicing: Input and process debtor invoicing and send out to clients in a timely manner.
  • Credit Card Reconciliation: Reconcile corporate credit card expenditures on a regular basis.
  • Supplier Records: Maintain and update supplier records, including verifying Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) details.
  • Player Medical Costs: Administer player medical costs, lodge Medicare and Medibank returns, and reconcile refunds.
  • Accounts Queries: Manage accounts receivable/payable queries and the Finance team's shared email account.
  • Petty Cash: Oversee petty cash, floats, Uber expenses, cash & cheque banking operations.
  • Travel Expenses: Prepare and post travel-related journals, expense schedules, payments, and reconciliations.
  • User Management: Maintain systems user records for onboarding/offboarding and complete ad hoc tasks for the Finance Manager and CFO.
Requirements:
  • A strong personal brand that reflects the values of the Gold Coast SUNS.
  • Previous experience in a financial role with a focus on data entry and data checking.
  • Experience working with Accounting Systems.
  • Advanced computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • The ability to organise time effectively, multitask, and work under pressure.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a productive team environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and security in all aspects of the business.
