Maintain and improve secure, high-performing Azure environments Deliver Infrastructure-as-Code and support cloud projects Contribute to security, compliance, and disaster recovery processes DevOps Cloud Engineer – Fixed Term Contract (Full-Time, up to 12 months) The role: We're seeking a proactive and highly skilled DevOps Cloud Engineer for a fixed term full-time contract (up to 12 months) . In this role, you will manage and maintain Teachers Health's Azure cloud and on-premise systems to ensure stability, performance, and security. You will play a key role in project delivery, system automation, infrastructure improvements, and risk mitigation strategies. At Teachers Health, we offer a range of benefits, including:

Teachers Health was created by teachers for teachers over 70 years ago and is the only health fund dedicated to the education community. As a not-for-profit health fund, we exist for our members, covering the lives of over 400,000 teachers, education staff, and their families. What will you do?
• Manage and maintain secure, high-performing Azure cloud and on-premise infrastructure
• Monitor system performance and control cloud-related costs
• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code using Azure Bicep or similar technologies
• Participate in agile projects and collaborate with architects and engineers
• Ensure security and compliance across systems, identifying and resolving vulnerabilities
• Administer backups, certificates, keys, and disaster recovery capability
• Document infrastructure designs and support audit/reporting requirements
• Deliver systems patching, upgrades, and support change management processes
• Contribute to continuous improvement by managing backlogs and enhancements What do you need?
• Experience managing cloud environments, especially Azure
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Azure Bicep
• Knowledge of cloud performance monitoring, backups, and disaster recovery
• Familiarity with security frameworks, risk governance, and compliance requirements
• Experience working in hybrid environments (cloud and on-premise)
• Understanding of ITIL practices and change management
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external vendors How do I apply?
