Join to apply for the Testing & Evaluation Engineer role at Downer Professional Services. We currently have an opportunity for a Test & Evaluation (T&E) Engineer in Canberra, ACT to work on cybersecurity and information warfare systems projects.

Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia's future. Downer Professional Services is comprised of two business units, our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer, a major service partner to Defence. Together, we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.

What You'll Do

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

• Define requirements verification strategy and propose verification scenarios.
• Support methodologies, tools, and platforms for verification and acceptance activities.
• Prepare and review Test Plans, Test Procedures, and Verification Cross Reference Matrices (VCRMs).
• Coordinate and support Acceptance Test Readiness Reviews (ATRR) and test events.
• Analyze verification results and support reporting responsibilities to COSPO management.

What You'll Bring

Key skills and qualifications

• Qualifications in testing, preferably in Engineering, IT, or Test and Evaluation.
• Certified SAFe Practitioner (mandatory, can be completed upon engagement).
• Experience with HP ALM or JIRA, hypervisors, and virtualization technologies.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of AT&E processes, software testing, and Defence Capability Life Cycle.

Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
