About the Home

The elegant Bupa Glenvale, a modern care home built on two hectares of land, set in a quiet suburb just 5kms west of the Toowoomba town centre.

Our primary goal is placing our focus on the health, lifestyle and well-being of our residents.

About The Role

As our Glenvale Care Manager, you will work as part of a team of empathetic and caring clinical professionals. You will support the General Manager in managing and leading the delivery of person-centred care of residents, ensuring the highest standard of ongoing assessment, care planning and evaluation and clinical governance, helping them to live longer, healthier, and happier lives.

Duties include

  1. Oversee the daily clinical operations of the care home
  2. Support and lead the care home clinical team including coaching, mentoring, staff allocations and delegation, performance management and education
  3. Review clinical incidents, complaints and changes
  4. Lead compliance with AN ACC assessments
  5. Manage person-centred care planning and evaluation for residents - including case conferencing with families and carers
  6. Prepare and conduct clinical governance audits
  7. Oversee medication management in accordance with resident needs and legislative requirements
  8. Liaise with allied health, medical practitioners and other services to provide optimal resident care

What will you bring?

  • Bachelor of Nursing with current APHRA is essential
  • Post grad qualification in aged care highly regarded
  • Experience managing a minimum of 30 beds
  • Proven track record in delivering quality clinical care within an aged care or acute setting
  • Excellent clinical assessment skills and care planning capabilities
  • Highly effective communication, leadership, and relationship management skills
  • An understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes
