The roleThe System Engineer/Senior System Engineer – Air Traffic Management (ATM) will contribute to the ATM engineering team in the tender, execution and delivery phases of ATM projects. They will act as the interface between ATM product design system developers, Saab-internal project and support teams, and the customer, in order to deliver product improvements and perform project-specific tasks.
They will undertake requirements analysis, develop requirement specifications and participate in the design and validation of new solutions. To be successful in this role, they will be highly motivated, think critically to solve problems, and have a keen interest in working with complex software systems.
Further, the successful candidate will:
- Contribute to the realisation of ATM projects
- Map customer requirements to system solutions based on Saab's ATM product portfolio
- Coordinate with product software development and parameterisation teams to specify, design, develop and verify customer-specific solutions
- Develop external interface specifications, system design documents and acceptance test documents
- Present at customer requirements reviews and design reviews
- Configure, integrate and test the system in factory and on site.
Your skills and experience will include:
- 5+ years ATM Domain expertise (preferred)
- In-depth knowledge of infrastructure, network, network security, XML and Linux (essential)
- Knowledge of virtualisation technologies
- Systems Engineering process, including requirements derivation, management, system design, integration, test and validation
- Ability to undertake high-level requirements derivation, system design and implementation
- Ability to review and interpret specifications, interface documentation, drawings and estimates
- Understand complex technical issues and manage them within project cost, time and quality constraints
- Ability to write clear and precise technical reports
- Well-developed written, oral and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work with others in a team environment.
Australian citizenship is preferred in order to obtain and retain an AGSVA baseline security clearance.
